Congrates to Project Runway contestant Jeffrey Sabelia for wining the finale! Although Uli had a good collection, Jeffrey really showed his skill. Micheal's was ok but nothing great. Laura, what can i say about this evil person? Her collection? Only mid-aged formal dresses, borning! She needed to get out of her style and create something young and stylish. I was pulling for Jeffrey throughout the show, he has really proved himself.

Computer advice

Ok, listen up you computer knowledgeable people! I've been thinking about getting a laptop in the next few months. I need some advice about what computers are good to get. I don't want to spend too much but I want something that is going to be fast and do basic cool stuff. I need a descent amount of memory on it so i can hold music and pics on it. I've seen people with macs and think they are cool but i've never used a mac before. So i need some advice about what is good out there.

Ordering my first beer

Ok, the title sounds like I've never ordered an alcohol drink before but I have. But I've never really liked the taste of beer so I never drank or order it. But a few weeks ago my friend had ordered a black and tan and I had asked for a taste of it and wow! it was actually tasty. So last nite I ordered my first beer, a black and tan. Don't get me wrong, I still don't really like beer but the black and tan was damn good.

I can see this day is going to be a good one

This morning while driving to work my car was getting shaky and I thought 'oh yey, my car needs to be worked on'. I then pull over to see if something happened, yep, my car had a flat! Since I am not mechanically inclined I took it auto care place. They had a list of people for cars to be fixed, so I don't know when ill get a call that it will be ready, hopefully by lunch time. Thank goodness for my mom that came and picked me up and drove me to work.

I've been a Netflix member for about a month now but one problem i have is that i have dvd build-up right now, I've had two movies (Munich and Syriana) for the last two weeks. This weekend my goal is to watch and return them so the next 2 movies on my list will come. I need to get the best out of this plan....

Then reality sets in

I know that nobody is perfect. But loving people though their non-perfectness has just made me realize that its really hard to do it. I make mistakes everyday but yet am still loved, why must I struggle loving others for the mistakes they make? Actually I don't know if its a struggle to love them but a struggle to accept what they have done. It seems so unreal that this has happened, at one point in this person's life this mistake would have never been made but now it is being faced, head on. I need to be able to love unconditionally, non judgmental. Right now I'm not there. I hope soon I can reach there but it is a day by day journey in life.

NY- Day 3

Since the previous night was a late nite, I woke up late the third day. We go to this cafe and get breakfast. I had a yummy breakfast burrito with hummus. We then take the subway so we could take the ferry to Staten Island. The ferry to Staten Island was free but I want to go to the Statue of Liberty but the tickets for the day were sold out and the next available one was for 8:30am the next day, which we were not too fond of that. But we take the ferry to Staten Island anyway. The view was great!

We even got to see the Statue of Liberty on the ferry ride.

We didn't do anything at Staten Island cause we really didn't know what there was so we just took the ferry back. Then got back on subway. We went to target cause I still had no luggage and the previous day I didn't get too much to wear. The lines at target were very long and it had two-stories, its weird to have an escalator for a shopping cart. There was not a lot at target I wanted so I also went to marshalls and old navy, I didn't get a whole bunch just enough to get me by for the week. We then get back on the subway and then go back to her place to rest for a bit. That evening we headed out to CBGB! Yep home of the ramones and many others. It was small and looked like a dump but it was very cool to know so many great bands had been there. It really looked like there had been a fire there and the building was still being used. There wasn't any one I've heard of playing but who cares, I was at CBGBs! I don't have any pics of the place cause I forgot to bring my camera but maybe Ill take a picture of me wearing the shirt I got there. That was my third day a very long but fun day!

NY - Day 2

Day 2 starts off ok, my friend had the day off so she can show me around for the day. I still have no luggage, so I had to borrow some clothes from her and that meant I had to shop for some new clothes! So I borrow her sandals, which was a big mistake, my feet were hurting me the whole time. So we start walking around NY. First stop was Lincoln center and to my surprise David Blaine was there

It was cool, I got to see the man in the bubble! Ok, then there was more walking, we decided I need new shoes cause I was getting blisters on my feet and that was not fun to walk around the whole day with those. All I wanted was some comfortable shoes I could wear the whole day and my feet would not fall off. After a few stores later I buy some adidas, they are so cool. Now my feet feeling a lot a better we go to the empire state building. The building is about 86 floors high. The line to get up there was like waiting in line for a Disneyland ride. We finally get there and the view was incredible.

After we stayed up there for a while we decided to go shopping cause I of course had nothing to wear and I really could not wear my friend's stuff the whole time. I went to the drug store to get all of my tolietrees. Then off to the shops. I love shopping but at that point I wasn't in the mood to shop cause it was a forced shopping, I was pressured to buy things I really didn't want to buy but had to since I had nothing to wear. So since I was pressured to buy it wasn't a good time, nothing looked good! Lines were long, and stuff was expensive, I was just not in the mood but I had to buy something cause I needed something to wear for the evening since we were going out for my friend's birthday. So quickly find something that is decent price and looks cute and buy it. By that time we had to head back to my friend's place to get ready. We go a Mexican restaurant but I really wouldn't call it Mexican, it was very americanized. Then off to my friend's favorite bar. The bar is pretty small but its quaint. Going in the bar I told my friend that I was not going to pay for any of my drinks, and guess what I didn't, free drinks the whole evening! Met some interesting people, NY nite life is a little different than LA but I liked it. Make the story short, I don't really know what time I got home that night but I had a lot of fun.

NY Trip- Day 1

So the day starts off pretty good, wow, I'm finally going to NY! The shuttle to the Burbank airport picks me up at 7am, yeah that is a little early but oh well. I get to the airport around 9, now I had to get in line for sercuity, I had to take both my shoes and belt off and guess what? I was pick for random pat down! yeah that was fun, atleast it wasn't a strip search. Then i wait for the plane to load, i was taking jetblue. The flight was nice, all jetblue seats have tvs on the back of them and you can watch directv the whole flight! So i just caught up all the shows i have missed. I get in to NY about 7pm. Then i had to take a bus to the bus stop where my friend was going to meet me. So everything was good up to then, i get on the bus and the bus makes several stops to pick more people up and then off to the city. The bus had one stop before mine and then finally port authority, my stop! i get off and greet my friend i went to go get my luggage, no luggage! my luggage was not there! what the hell!? so i tell the bus driver that my luggage was not there, and then he said, maybe it was at the first stop, so i thought ok, don't freak out it was probaly just left there. We get to the first stop, no luggage!!! We go into the station and see if it is in there, nope. The man in the station said there was really nothing he could do about it, he said maybe someone would bring it back. I had to force the guy my number for him to call me if it shows up, he didn't offer it. what a jerk! then so we were still at stop number 1 and we had to get back to my friend's place, the bus driver that drove us to stop 1 had left and now we were left there! And now we had to find a way to get back, we finally asked another bus driver if they could take us to port authority and he did, I was still without my luggage. So we get dropped off at the bus station then had to walk to my friend's place which was about 3 blocks away. We get there and then spend a few minutes at her place and then we go out for drinks. After 2 bars and 2 guys hitting on us we head home.

5 Days and Counting!

'Til I am in New York!!!!!!!!! Yep I'm going to the Big Apple next thursday! I am going to be gone for a week to go visit my friend. Im going to be staying at her place and she lives only 3 blocks from Time's Square! The full day of my vacation (friday) my friend is taking off work, and plus it's her birthday so we are going out and par-ty-ing! Of course I'm going to do all the touristy stuff like statue of liberty, central park, empire states building, the met, cbgbs and of course try and be on good morning america! Anyone have any suggestions on any other places to go or eat?

Free Movie!

Today my deptartment gets to go see a movie. Yep our work is paying for us to go see a movie! Since we work with advertising campgrounds and RVing we are going to see the movie R.V. Today at 2pm we are going down to Century 10 and see the movie! Anybody want to join me?
